Hauling season starts today

Yard Storage and Usage Rules

4. Hauling season starts the second weekend after Labor Day and ends the weekend before Thanksgiving. No boat with winter storage rights shall be hauled for winter storage prior to the aforementioned start of hauling season unless extenuating circumstances exist as determined by the Board of Directors. Winter residence travel does not qualify as an extenuating circumstance for early haul-out. Contractor arrangements for work on boats with winter storage privileges also do not qualify as extenuating circumstances for early haul-out.

Text, or call or see the yardmaster to schedule a time to be hauled. Bring at least one other person who is able to physically help you with your stands and blocks. The club will bill you for the hauling and the tip is $40 cash to the travelift operator/yardmaster.

No Boat Hauling Now Until Hauling Season Begins

In order to avoid members taking valuable space in the parking area and hauling out earlier than the end of the season, PCYC no longer allows members with yard storage to haul out fewer than 15 days prior to the start of the official hauling season for any reason other than to secure or remove a sinking or unseaworthy boat.

Our official season is just 90 days long and we must ensure all members have access to parking and an accessible club.

According to the rules of the club:

Hauling season starts the second weekend after Labor Day and ends the weekend before Thanksgiving.

No Boat Hauling Now Until Sept 14.

In order to avoid members taking valuable space in the parking area and hauling out earlier than the end of the season, PCYC no longer allows members with yard storage to haul out fewer than 15 days prior to the start of the official hauling season for any reason other than to secure or remove a sinking or unseaworthy boat.

Our official season is just 90 days long (boats must be launched June 15 and can be hauled Sept 14) and we must ensure all members have access to parking and an accessible club.

According to the rules of the club:

Hauling season starts the second weekend after Labor Day and ends the weekend before Thanksgiving.

PCYC allows 10 days free storage for members working on boats. What was happening was this date of Sept. 14 was basically becoming Sept 4 for some members. Now, Members can come out to work on their boats (if allowed) more than fifteen days before Sept 14 which will at the very least cause a charge of 5 days at $25 plus the 10 free days. It’s still not ideal but it’s better than people hauling in late August and just leaving for the year. There are 350 of us and four or five members with 40’ boats can take up more than their share of space in the yard.
