    commodore Vice Commodore

Commodore Larry Robertie

A member of PCYC since 2006, Larry has quickly become an active member of the club.  He lives in Peabody and together with his wife, Tricia, enjoys sailing his Catalina 34 Ruach out of Salem harbor. During the summer they take advantage of day sailing opportunities as well as overnight cruising from Narragansett Bay to Maine. Their favorite sailing experiences have been on annual extended cruises of one to two weeks. Although... he has said that sometimes it's nice to just sit at the mooring, watch the sun go down, and count his lucky stars.

Commodore

Vice Commodore Rich Morneau, PC

Rich has been a member of PCYC for 35 years, was Commodore in 1989 and 2009, and has been boating for over 45 years. He grew up at the Club, and has a few tales to tell (like about his stowing away on some members' boats as a boy). Rich and Patti's son, Matthew, is also a member of PCYC. Their boat, a 30' SeaRay Weekender, is the Duke of Oil (in 1988 Richie and his brothers started Morneau Brothers Oil). He enjoys being with his family and just working around the club, helping with what ever needs to be done; in the summer, Richie enjoys sitting on his boat.

Rear Commodore

John Devine

Rear Commodore John Devine

John has been a member of PCYC since 1996, he has been an active member of the Regatta Committee, acting as Chairman a number of times. He holds the position of Principal Race Officer for PCYC, and for the Bowditch Race. John is also the PCYC’s Mass Bay Sailing Delegate, and the Performance Handicap Racing Feet Governor for the Salem Fleet. John has been racing sailboats out of PCYC since 1979, when he joined the crew of Bill Callahan’s Bonnie Lassie, he sailed with them for many seasons, he also crewed for Bill& Barbara Kuszmar on Thursday Night Races for a couple of seasons. In 1999 John bought his own boat Rascal, a Beneteau 235, and has been successfully racing her since then. He and his wife Peg are in the market for a larger sailboat to entertain the idea of cruising, something foreign to John. John and Peg have two children Andrew (21) who is also an avid racer, and Katie (18) who enjoys the cruising side, and they have one great dog, Freckles. In addition to boating the whole family loves to ski. Both John and Peg enjoy spending time at the PCYC and look forward to an entertaining year.
